- How much of the Poly-Wood® plastic lumber is recycled? Over ninety percent of our plastic lumber is made from post-consumer bottle waste, such as milk and detergent bottles or other HDPE post industrial material.
- What is HDPE? HDPE stands for High Density Polyethylene which is an exceptionally durable plastic that has infinite recyclability.
- Is the Poly-Wood® color only on the surface? No, the color in Poly-Wood® lumber runs all the way through.
- How much do Poly-Wood® Chairs weigh? The weight of a Poly-Wood® chair is similar to that of a hardwood chair averaging 30 to 50 Lbs. each. This means that even in strong winds you won't have to worry about these bad boys blowing away.
- Does it contain wood or natural fibers? Poly-Wood® is made from HDPE and does not contain wood or any natural fibers.
- Is it UV protected? Poly-Wood® lumber contains UV-inhibited pigment systems that reduces fading.
- Can it be painted? Poly-Wood® does not need to be painted, stained or sealed in any way due to the durable nature of the material.
- Can it be sanded? Although minor scratches can be addressed with a light sanding, Poly-Wood® cannot be completely resurfaced using sandpaper.
- How do I clean Poly-Wood®? For regular maintenance simply wash the product with soap and water. For advanced cleaning or to remove fungi, use a solution of 1/3 bleach and 2/3 water. Fungi can also be removed using any readily available anti fungal product. Read more...
- Can Poly-Wood® be power washed? A high pressure power washer may be used for regular maintenance to keep your furniture looking like new. Pressure should not exceed 1,500 psi, which is the equivalent of a car wash. The surface characteristics of the product may require the use of a soft bristle brush to get into the creases.
- What is the hardware made from? For optimal performance and longevity Poly-Wood uses genuine stainless steel hardware.
- Does Poly-Wood furniture have a warranty? Poly-Wood® warranties to the original purchaser for a period of five (5) years of residential use and one (1) year for commercial use starting from the date of purchase. Read more...
- Is assembly required? Poly-Wood furniture is designed to require minimal assembly. Some models even unfold right out of the box with no assembly necessary. Those that require assembly often take less than 30 minutes to complete and include basic tools with simple instructions.

- What is Plastique®? Plastique® offers the richness and warmth of natural wood while delivering all-weather performance. Plastique® can be cleaned by gently washing it with soap and water.
